Philosophy
Inspired Spaces. To me, an inspired space is personal, one that truly represents the people who live within…their values, what they love, how they live. I listen carefully to my clients’ needs, goals, likes, and dislikes (which are equally important!) to provide creative and informed design solutions that ultimately result in the creation of their own inspired space.
Whether your project is remodeling an outdated bathroom, transforming your kitchen, or something on a grander scale, I will combine my rich knowledge of architecture, color, and materials with my deep understanding of aesthetic, efficiency, and design to create a solution that fits your lifestyle and budget.
Because I am a Certified Interior Designer by the CCIDC, you may not need an architect. If your project includes significant structural changes, I will work closely with your architect or structural engineer on your behalf—as I do with contractors and artisans—to avoid roadblocks, streamline the process, and preserve the design integrity of your project.
My clients get an expert guide through the process, a design that’s uniquely theirs, and most importantly, the results they want. I would love to work with you to make your home an inspired space.
About
Cillesa Ullman has worked on many exciting residential and commercial design projects in the San Francisco Bay Area since entering the field in 1996. Cillesa served as a kitchen and bath designer and colorist at Philip Banta and Associates Architecture and was a lead designer and project manager at Callahan Design Group for over a decade prior to launching her own design practice. Cillesa is a CCIDC-certified interior designer and a member of the Color Marketing Group.
Born into a family of artists, Cillesa’s exposure to a wide variety of artistic disciplines began at an early age, and it was only natural that she would ultimately pursue a design career. A painter as well as a designer, Cillesa’s wide knowledge of the arts enhances her expert ability in composition, color and form. In addition to her passion for design and the arts, Cillesa supports Habitat for Humanity, The Smile Train, Americans for the UNFPA, and other important causes. Cillesa graduated Cum Laude from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in fine arts and design and lives with her husband, their mini lop house rabbit, and two African Grey parrots in the East Bay.
